TOWN OF LITTLE BLACK, WI (WSAU) — A 36-year-old Edgar man died in a crash involving a semi in Taylor County Friday morning.
It happened just before 9:30 in the Town of Little Black near the intersection of Highway 13 and Apple Avenue. Sheriff’s officials say the victim, identified as Scott Soczka, failed to yield the right-of-way to the semi as he was turning left onto the highway.
The semi couldn’t stop and struck his pickup on the passenger side.
Officers say the semi was going 55 MPH at the time of the crash. They add that it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.
The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. No other passengers were involved in the incident.
