STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP football dropped their game with UW-Eau Claire 25-15 on Saturday at Goerke Field.
The Pointers got a pair of second half touchdowns from Jahi Stigall for a short-lived lead. He rushed for 49 yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 28 yards.
The Pointers had four turnovers in the game with the final one giving the Blugolds a short field to retake the lead.
UWSP is now 2-2 on the season, 0-1 in the WIAC, and will host UW-River Falls on Saturday.
The UWSP womens soccer team dropped a 4-1 match vs UW-La Crosse on Saturday. McKenzie Johnson had the only Pointer goal.
The Pointers, now 4-8, will play at UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday.
The UWSP volleyball team dropped UW-Stout in straight sets on Friday. Sydney Mosinski had 11 kills. Ashley Kopp had a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs.
Grace Michalske had 20 assists and Emma Peterson had 17 digs.
The Pointers, now 16-3, 3-0 in WIAC, will play at UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday.
The UWSP womens tennis team ran their record to 15-0 with a pair of sweeps on Saturday in Milwaukee. They beat Concordia-Chicago 9-0 and took down Alverno 9-0 as well.
The Pointers return home to face UW-Whitewater on Tuesday.

Mens hockey opens the season on Oct 30 vs St. Norbert at KB Willet. The basketball home opener is Nov 20th vs Edgewood.
