MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — Another rash of thefts has been reported by Sheriff’s officials in Lincoln County, including some big-ticket items.
A woman in Hiles reported that her 500-pound propane tank was stolen from her property located on County Road O in the Town of Tomahawk last Monday.
Later in the week, a resident in the Town of Bradley had his 25-ton log splitter and battery charger stolen. Also in the Town of Bradley, a resident reported having a tackle box stolen out of their shed. An image of that suspect was captured by a doorbell camera, but no further information was released.
Multiple people also reported having mailboxes stolen in the Towns of Pine River and Scott. In one of those incidents the resident also had a planter and decorative chair that were destroyed.
Officers also responded to a report of multiple storage units being broken into in the Town of Merrill on Prairie Crest Lane. Several items were stolen, though officers haven’t identified what they were.
