WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Friday marks the last day to take the Wausau School District’s facilities survey.
The survey asks the community about the district’s current facility offerings. Information learned will be used to map out a solution to the district’s current facilities needs that voters will support.
This comes after voters failed to pass a building improvement referendum question as part of the 2021 spring election. That involved some $148 million in projects at every district building including security upgrades and the addition of food service space to separate gyms and cafeterias. Other buildings would have had air conditioning added.
A referendum for pupil services did pass on that same ballot.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and can be done on the school’s website. Feedback from the survey may help shape a referendum proposal that would go before voters as part of the 2022 spring election.
