WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Salvation Army is getting ready for the 2021 Red Kettle Campaign.
On Thursday the non-profit announced the campaign will begin Friday, November 12th with a free concert from Brad Emanuel in Wausau’s 400 Block. Families are encouraged to come out and enjoy some free food while taking in the music.
The Red Kettles will also be out taking donations for the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas-time campaign. Those funds go to help the Salvation Army provide food, shelter, self-reliance education, and other programs year-round.
Families and groups can begin signing up to ring bells at various locations this winter by visiting registertoring.com and selecting Wausau. This year’s goal is to raise $150,000. Officials add that the Red Kettle Campaign accounts for a significant portion of the group’s annual budget.
