WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – If you missed him last year, don’t worry, Santa Claus will be back in Wausau just in time for the holidays.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, Santa wasn’t able to make it to the Wausau Center Mall last year for Christmas. Now that the mall has been demolished, he has had to find a different spot to see area boys and girls.
This year, Santa has partnered with the Wausau River District for Small Business Saturday, November 27th.
“I think a lot of people have come downtown and has those memories with Santa and it’s that bit of nostalgia. So we’re really looking forward to keeping that here in downtown and creating those opportunities with our businesses as well,” Blake Opal-Wahoske, Wausau River District Executive Director, told WAOW-TV.
Santa will be hosted by area businesses including, Tundraland, the Center for Visual Arts, Ugly Mug, and Katzenbarkers, where Santa pictures with pets will be offered.
If you want to get a picture with Santa, you must register first as he will be visiting different businesses.
