According to a study published in the British Medical Journal, we’ve learned more about the impact dairy products can have on the body. Researchers put together a two year study of over 7,000 Australians with an average age of 86-years-old.
Participants were studied while consuming dairy and the results found that increasing the calcium and protein intakes using dairy products reduced the risk of falls and bone fractures. The full study shows a 27% reduced risk of all fractures, hip fractures were lowered by 44%, and an 11% reduction in participants falling.
