RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — After almost an hour of back-and-forth discussion and public comment, the Rib Mountain Planning Commission voted unanimously Wednesday night to send an ordinance that would allow chickens to the full town board.
WAOW TV reports the ordinance would allow residents to have a certain number of ‘low impact,’ farm animals (including chickens, ducks, and rabbits) based on the size of their land.
Several residents spoke in support of the bill, saying it would offer them more options for their families.
