MILWAUKEE, Wi (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers didn’t wait long to replace Manny Pina on the roster. They signed catcher Pedro Severino as a free agent on Sunday.
The deal is reportedly one year at $1.9 million and is pending a physical. The 28 year old Severino played in 113 games for the Baltimore Orioles in 2021 hitting .248 with 11 home runs and 46 RBIS but was outrighted to the minors earlier this month. He chose free agency instead.
When the signing becomes official, the Brewers will have 36 players on their 40-man roster.
