Stevens Point Schools Shut Down in Person Classes Due to COVID-19

STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Students in the Stevens Point school district will move to e-learning next week due to numerous COVID-19 cases among students and staff.

Officials say they need to take “immediate action” due to the number of cases across the district, therefor students will utilize e-learning the week of January 10th-14th.

The shift goes for all students in grades Pre-K through 12. In a statement, officials say that the decision was not made lightly and that their goal remains to operate in person when it is safe to do so.
