WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The largest High School Curling event in America returns to Wausau this weekend.
The Tietge High School Bonspiel will take place at the Wausau Curling Club starting today and running through Saturday. According to the event’s website, some 35 high school curling teams will be participating in both boys and girls divisions, including teams from both Wausau East and West along with D.C. Everest.
A total of 100 student-athletes are expected to take part. Attendance is limited to just players and coaches due to COVID-19, though some of the fixtures will be available to view on the Wausau Curling Club’s Facebook page.
The event was canceled in 2021 due to the virus.
