WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A pair of factors has led Wausau School leaders to declare Monday an e-learning day for all students.
In a message to parents, the district said the combination of dangerously low wind chills expected Sunday night into Monday and a shortage of bus drivers, they’ve decided that all students district-wide will have a virtual learning day.
Parents and students are asked to refer to a district-wide message for further details on what an e-learning day looks like for each grade level. Classes are expected to return to normal on Tuesday.
Just before declaring Monday a virtual learning day, the district announced that two bus routes for Horace Mann Middle School would not run due to a shortage of drivers. School officials say anyone interested in becoming a bus driver can contact FirstStudent at 715-842-2268.
