MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin womens hockey team beat Bemidji State 2-1 to take Game one of their WCHA playoff series on Friday night at LaBahn Arena.
The Badgers outshot the Beavers 40-15.
Maddi Wheeler and Brette Pettet had the Badger goals. Kennedy Blair had 14 saves.
The two teams will play again this afternoon at 3pm.
The Wisconsin mens hockey team got hammered 5-0 by the Minnesota Gophers on Friday night in Minneapolis.
Ben Meyers had a 3rd period hat trick for the Gophers. Jonny Sorenson and Jaxon Nelson had the other Gopher goals.
The two teams play their final game of the regular season tonight.
The Wisconsin mens basketball team plays tonight at Rutgers…pre game show at 5pm on WSAU.
The Wisconsin womens basketball team finishes the regular season Sunday at Purdue.
