STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP mens hockey team won the first game of their playoff series with UW-Superior 4-3 on Friday night at KB Willet Arena,
Noah Finstrom had the game winner in the 3rd period. Conor Witherspoon scored twice and David Hill also found the back of the net. Ryan Wagner had 21 saves.
The two teams play again tonight in Stevens Point.
The UWSP womens hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision at UW-Eau Claire in their WIAC playoff game on Friday night.
Hailey Sellers and Annika Horman scored the goals. Olivia Schultz had 46 saves.
Game 2 of the series is this afternoon at 2pm.
