WEST LAFAYETTE, IND (WSAU) — The Wisconsin womens basketball team ended the regular season with a 63-62 win Sunday at Purdue.
The win gives the Badgers their most Big Ten victories since the 2014-15 season.
After the Badgers led for most of the game, Purdue tied it at 48 with an 8-0 run to start the 4th quarter. The Boilermakers grabbed their first lead of the game at 62-61 with just 13 seconds left. Halle Douglass then went coast-to-coast for layup. Purdue’s last second shot was blocked.
Julie Pospisilova had 19 points and Douglass added 16 . Brooke Schramek, who blocked the final shot, had nine points and Krystyna Ellew added nine as well.
The Badgers are the 11th seed for the Big Ten Tournament and will face #14 seed Illinois on Wednesday in Indianapolis.
