SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WSAU) — Five Milwaukee players scored in double figures but the Bucks fell to the Golden State Warriors 122-109 on Saturday in San Francisco.
Klay Thompson led all scorers with 38 points while also grabbing nine rebounds and dishing six assists, his best shooting night since returning to the Golden State lineup.
Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded 31 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in the loss. From there the scoring dropped off to 18 points from Khris Middleton, 15 from Serg Ibaka, and 13 from Jrue Holiday.
Milwaukee was sorely out-rebounded in the contest 55-39 but part of that came from Golden State’s hot shooting (48% from the field, 40% from three-point range).
The Bucks are now 41-26 on the season, 2.5 games behind Miami for the top spot in the East. They’ll return home to play Washington on Monday.
