MILWAUKEE, Wi (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers added another bat to the mix on Monday. Various reports say that Milwaukee agreed to terms with free-agent outfielder Andrew McCutchen.
McCutchen was the 2013 NL MVP while with Pittsburgh. He played last season in Philadelphia where he hit .222 but did slam 27 homers with 80 RBIs compiling an OPS of .778.
For his 13 season career he’s a .280 hitter with 270 homer runs and 933 RBIs. He’s expected to play outfield and DH for Milwaukee this season.
The Brewers also bolstered their bullpen on Monday, bringing back Brad Boxberger. Boxberger was a workhorse out the Milwaukee pen last season before becoming a free-agent.
