MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — Another key position in the City of Marshfield is expected to be filled on Friday.
The Police and Fire Commission will meet at 7:45 AM to formally vote on the selection of a new Fire Chief, with that individual expected to make some brief comments at 8 AM following the vote.
Pete Fletty has been serving as interim Chief following Scott Owen’s retirement in December.
The announcement comes just days after the City filled the vacant Police Chief position by hiring Jodi Geurink to take over the post.
Friday’s meeting will be held at the Fire and Rescue Department training room. The public is welcome to attend, and there will also be a live stream and archived recording available on the city’s YouTube page MFLD CHannel 991.
Marshfield City Administrator Steve Barg has previously told WSAU news that his goal was to see both positions filled in the first quarter of the year.
