RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — Nearly all WPS electrical customers have had their power restored following last week’s winter storm which brought heavy, wet snow and freezing rain to the region.
According to the WPS outage map around a dozen customers remained without power, most along the Michigan-Wisconsin border.
The storm knocked out power to more than 108,000 customers, many of whom had their service restored by Friday night. According to WPS officials service was interrupted by downed lines and falling branches which damaged electrical infrastructure.
