WITTENBERG, WI (WSAU) — Officials with the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District have announced the death of one of their instructors.
Technology Director Benjamin Deitz passed away on April 17th as the result of injuries suffered in a car crash ten days earlier.
The school is making grief councilors available for students and staff beginning Tuesday, but they are encouraging anyone who may need help before then to contact either the Marathon or Shawano County crisis lines.
Deitz is survived by a wife and infant son. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help them cover his final medical and funeral expenses.
