MADISON, Wi (WSAU) — A Wisconsin Rapids man was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for dealing meth in Central Wisconsin.
David Shamont Lindsey pleaded guilty to charges of distributing over 50 grams of meth in the Wisconsin Rapids area for several years. He was arrested in August of 2019 while returning from the West Coast with 6 1/2 pounds of meth hidden in his car.
The 38-year-old got a stiffer sentence as he also submitted false affidavits to the court in an attempt to influence pre-trial motions. He represented himself in the case.
