WAUKESHA, Wi (WSAU) — Business owner Tim Michels is entering the Republican primary for Governor of Wisconsin.
He comes late to a crowded field but has the personal wealth to back his campaign. Michels filed paperwork on Friday to run.
The 59 year old Michels is owner of Michels Corporation. His decision comes just days after Tommy Thompson announced he would not run.
Michels joins a field that includes Rebecca Kleefisch, Kevin Nicholson and Tim Ranthum.
