STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Wisconsin DOT crews will be closing a portion of Interstate 39 on Monday as bridge deck work continues near Stevens Point.
Southbound lanes will be closed from 9 PM Monday, June 6 to 5 AM Tuesday. Drivers will be detoured at the Business 51 exit to Wisconsin 66.
The closure is prompted by the possibility of falling debris as the bridge deck is being replaced. Crews are scheduled to work on the project during overnight hours to minimize traffic disruptions.

The left lane of southbound I-39 will be closed from 6 to 9 PM Monday, June 6.
The right lane of northbound I-39 will be closed from 6 AM Monday, June 6 to noon Friday, June 10.
Monday’s closure only impacts southbound traffic.
