GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Packers made some roster moves to get under the 80-man limit on Tuesday.
They traded former Badger and Green Bay native Cole Van Lanen to Jacksonville for a seventh round draft pick.
They also released former Badger Danny Davis who has missed time with an ankle injury and injured safety Vernon Scott. They also placed running back Kylin Hill on the PUP list.
It’s expected that Davis, who performed well in camp before his injury, will get a settlement and may be brought back to the practice squad.
Hill, who is 10 months out from knee surgery, will be ineligible for the first four games of the season. He can start practicing after the four weeks and then the Packers will have to decide to activate him or return him to the PUP list for the rest of the season.
