KOHLER, WI (WSAU) — He was the man who put Wisconsin on the international golf map with high end courses that made the state a golf destination.
Herb Kohler, who was the CEO of Kohler Company for 43 years, died Saturday at the age of 83.
He developed Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run in the eastern part of the state and was able to bring high end events to his courses including the PGA Championship and, in 2021, the Ryder Cup.
He also owned The Old Course Hotel and Golf Resort at St Andrews in Scotland.
