STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The UWSP football team won the annual “Pink” game with a 35-14 win over Simpson College on Saturday at Goerke Field.
Bryce Cashin and 167 yards rushing with three touchdowns in the victory. Quarterback Trey Schroeder had a 20 yard touchdown run and hit DJ Jacob with a 33 yard TD pass.
The Pointers defense had four interceptions in the game.
UWSP is now 1-2 and will have a bye week before heading to River Falls on Oct 1st.
The UWSP womens soccer team got two goals and an assist from Kati Frierdich in a 3-0 win over St. Norbert on Sunday.
Gabby Dunn had the other goal and Bergan Beversdorf had five saves in goal.
The Pointers, now 2-4-2, will host Carroll on Wednesday.
