MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A judge for the Western District of Wisconsin has sentenced Sarah Waggoner for charges of distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
The 41-year-old will serve five and a half years in federal prison (66 months) for the count, followed by five years of supervised release.
Charges stem from an investigation that led to a police informant purchasing meth from Waggoner on three different occasions, including one buy of more than 50 grams. Officers executed a search warrant at her home in September 2021 which turned up more than 1,000 grams of meth.
She’s currently serving a state prison sentence for charges of distributing meth as well. The beginning of her federal sentence will run concurrently with the remainder of the state sentence.
The case against Waggoner was the result of an investigation involving the State Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation, Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force, Wausau Police Department, and FBI.
