TOWN OF BRADLEY, WI (WSAU) — A report of a 911 hangup call led to the arrest of a Lincoln County man for charges of battery last week.
Officers say they received the call from a home on Theisen Road on Saturday. The dispatcher said they had heard what seemed to be a struggle in the background, though couldn’t make contact with the caller.
When they arrived at the home officers did not see signs of a struggle inside, though the 57-year-old woman who was home at the time did have some injuries to her face.
Investigators later learned that the woman and her husband were arguing about his drinking habits. During the argument, the man attempted to arm himself with a gun and did beat the woman. He then left the home before the officers arrived.
He was captured later in the day and taken to the Lincoln County Jail for charges of battery and disorderly conduct. His name has not been released.
