Rhinelander 0 Rice Lake 0 (Rhinelander advances on penalty kicks)
Rhinelander earns trip to State and will face Green Bay Notre Dame in a D-3 matchup this Friday at 4:30 pm at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
Girls Volleyball Sectional Finals
Appleton Xavier 3 Tomahawk 0
Witt/Birn 3 Edgar 2
Athens 3 Wabeno/Laona 0
Witt/Birn and Athens earn trips to State. Athens will face Monticello in D-4 on Friday at 9am and Witt/Birn will play Howards Grove in D-3 Friday at 11:30 am. The State Tournament is at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
State Cross Country Meet
Sara Mlodik of DC Everest won the D-1 Individual Girls title
Nora Gremban of Northland Pines was 2nd in D-2
Lucy Dolan of Rapids Assumption was 4th in D-3
Stevens Point won the team D-1 boys title
Aloysius Franzen of Spash was 3rd overall
Bode Erickson of Spash finished 4th
Owen Clark of Lakeland was 3rd in D-2
Connor Sheahan of Athens was 5th in D-3
