MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Lottery along with everyone else waited with bated breath as the multi-state lottery association delayed the results of Monday’s Powerball drawing.
One of the 48 states and US Territories that participated in the game wasn’t able to close out their paperwork in time for the regular drawing at 9:59 CT, which forced the drawing to be moved to Tuesday morning.
The delay amounted to about ten hours. There was also a small increase in Monday’s jackpot from $1.9 billion to $2.04 billion.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 10, 33, 41, 47, and 56. The Powerball was 10.
It does appear that one ticket sold for Monday’s drawing matched all five white balls and the Powerball. According to the Multi-State Lottery Association’s Powerball page, that ticket was sold in California.
It’s the first win for the signature lottery game in nearly three months.
According to the Wisconsin Lottery and other lotto websites, the jackpot for Friday’s drawing sits at $20 million, which is the reset number following a jackpot win.
