MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers made some room for the AAA outfielders who are banging on the door on Tuesday as they sent Hunter Renfroe to the Los Angeles Angels for three pitchers.
The Brewers have a glut of outfield talent including Garrett Mitchell and Tyrone Taylor along with Christian Yelich at the major league level.
They also have three AAA players who could see major league time in 2023 including Joey Wiemer, Sal Frelick and Esteury Ruiz. Ruiz was acquired in the Josh Hader trade.
The Brewers get back right-handers Jason Junk & Elvis Peguero along with lefty Adam Seminaris. Brewers GM Matt Arnold said they are trying to add depth in both the rotation and bullpen heading into spring training.
Junk is 27 and Peguero is 26 and both have pitched in the majors. Seminaris is 24 and had 21 starts at A,AA & AAA in 2022
