MADISON, WI (WSAU) – Michigan State rallied to beat Wisconsin, 69-65.
Wisconsin had a 5-point lead with under four minutes to play. A.J. Hoggard made a tiebreaking layup with 41 seconds left.
State hit their last 8 shots, and was 16-of-17 from the foul line. There were 14 lead-changes, and neither team was up by more than 6.
The Spartans have now won 7-straight. Wisconsin, ranked 18th in the nation, has now lost two-in-a-row.
Steven Crowl led Wisconsin with 19 points, followed by Chucky Hepburn’s 14 and Connor Essegian’s 13 points. Wisconsin was playing its second game without Tyler Wahl.
Wiscosin is now 11-4 overall and 3-2 in Big Ten play. Michigan State improves to 12-4 and 4-1 in-conference.
The Badgers play at Indiana on Saturday.
