WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The White House on Tuesday said it will respond in “good faith” to inquiries from the House Oversight Committee over the improper storage of classified documents in President Joe Biden’s home and a think tank office.
White House spokesman Ian Sams also told reporters on a call that regular public disclosure during a Justice Department investigation over the same issue involving Biden poses risks that answers provided on a periodic basis may be incomplete.
On Jan. 12, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland named a special counsel to probe the issue.
