UNDATED (MetroSource-WSAU) The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl.
The top seed in the NFC blew out the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 to win the NFC championship game at Lincoln Financial Field in Phiadelphia. The Chiefs beat the Cincinatti Bengals 23-20.
For Philly Jalen Hurts completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 121 yards and carried the ball 11 times for 39 yards and a score. Miles Sanders ran for a pair of touchdowns and Boston Scott also rushed for a score.
The Niners were held to just 164 total yards of offense as both of San Francisco’s quarterbacks left the game with injuries.
Meanwhile in KC, Harrison Butker drilled a game-winning 45-yard field goal as the Chiefs edged the Bengals 23-20 in the AFC Championship Game.
Butker was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal kicks and Patrick Mahomes tossed a pair of touchdowns in the victory.
Joe Burrow threw for 270 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the losing effort. Cincinnati came up just short of advancing to a second straight Super Bowl.
The Super Bowl is February 12th in Glendale Arizona.
