LONDON (Reuters) – Premier League Crystal Palace have bolstered their midfield with the signing of 20-year-old Naouirou Ahamada from Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday.
Palace’s website said Ahamada had agreed a three-and-a-half year deal, subject to international clearance.
No fee was disclosed but Palace are reported to have paid 12 million euros ($13.04 million) for the former Juventus academy prospect.
France youth international Ahamada has been an integral part of Stuttgart’s first team this season, starting 17 of the club’s 18 Bundesliga matches.
“Having already played in three different countries, Naouirou has shown an impressive ability to adapt to new challenges and deliver strong performances in a top league,” chairman Steve Parish said.
“We feel that his profile, skillset and character make him an ideal fit for Crystal Palace and the demands that await for him in the Premier League.”
