The Wausau Parks and Recreation committee will hear an update on Monday regarding a proposed redesign of the city’s only skate park in Oak Island Park.
According to the agenda packet the city and county Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department has launched a survey to “help shape the redesign of the park.” Users are encouraged to take the survey online now through Monday, February 20th.
A copy of a flyer promoting the survey was included with Monday’s agenda packet. The item is also up for discussion during the meeting along with a broader look at the department’s goals for 2023 and an update on remediation efforts for the soil in Riverside Park.
