WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau River District will introduce a new outdoor marketplace event this summer.
The Wausau Night Market series will bring together local vendors in the City Square Office Center Plaza from 5:00-9:00 PM on select Thursdays between June and August. River District Executive Director Blake Opal-Wahoske says the events will operate much like a Farmer’s Market.
“The Wausau area is lucky to have a vibrant market community, and we’re excited to bring these entrepreneurs to the downtown,” said Opal-Wahoske in a press release. “Encouraging Wausau residents to shop and dine locally is a significant part of WRD’s mission.”
Some downtown businesses may also operate with extended hours during the events.
Vendors that would like to participate should fill out an application with the River District by March 15th. The application can be found here.
Dates for the events will be June 15th, July 20th, and August 17th.
