STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — UWSP will be looking for a new mens basketball coach after it was announced this week that long time coach Bob Semling was out.
Semling had led the Pointers since 2005 and had been an assistant with the team before that. His teams had won two NCAA D-3 National Championships during his time and he won two national “Coach of the Year” honors as well.
The Pointers missed the WIAC Tournament for the first time ever this past season.
The school says a national search will begin for the next coach.
