MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The WIAA boys basketball state tournament got underway on Thursday. Among the highlights, Kenosha St. Joseph junior Eric Kenesie broke the D-4 individual game scoring record with 51 points in an upset win over #1 seed St. Mary. The record of 43 from Wausaukee’s Anthony Pieper had stood since 1993.
Wausau Newman will play their first game today at 9am vs Royall at 9am.
