GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) –A legendary Packers fullback has died. The team announced that John Brockington passed away at age 74.
He played six-plus seasons in Green Bay and rushed for over five-thousand-yards, which ranks fourth all-time in Packers’ history. Brockington was also the first running back in league history to have over one thousand yards in his first three seasons.
He was selected ninth overall in the 1971 draft and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1984.
