MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-MetroSource) – Willy Adames and Christian Yelich both homered to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in an NL Central matchup at American Family Field.
Adames totaled three RBI on three hits while Yelich drove-in one run and scored a pair while notching three hits.
Freddy Peralta improved to 2-0 this season after allowing one earned run and striking out seven over six innings.
The Brewers are sitting atop the National League at 7-and-2. Jake Woodford dropped to oh-and-2 after allowing three earned runs over four-and-two-thirds innings. Jordan Walker drove-in St. Louis’ lone run of the game as they fell to 3-6.
The Brewers begin a three-city trip out west tonight. They’ll play the Diamondbacks in Pheonix at 8:05pm CT on WSAU.
