After drafting 13 players last weekend, the Green Bay Packers added at least 11 more names to the roster by scrambling to sign college players who went undrafted. In recent years, a couple of these long shots not only made the final roster but contributed on Sundays. Linebacker Krys Barnes, defensive lineman Tyler Lancaster and offensive lineman Lucas Patrick among them. According to various sources, here’s the first 11 UFA’s brought on board by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
OT Kadeem Telfort, Alabama-Birmingham; OL Chuck Filiaga, Minnesota. The Packers didn’t draft an offensive lineman for the first time since 2015.
TE Camren McDonald, Florida State; TE Henry Pearson, Appalachian State. This makes four additions with the two high picks at tight end.
WR Malik Heath, Mississippi; Deuce Watts, Tulane. Add these two with the three receivers drafted and the competition is on for spots behind Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Samori Toure.
DL Jason Lewan, Illinois State. OLB Keshawn Banks, New Mexico. LB Jimmy Phelps Jr., SMU. CB Benny Sapp, Northern Iowa. S Christian Morgan, Baylor. These are all numbers filling signings to round out the training camp roster at each position.
