MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — An explosion rocked a townhouse complex in Madison.
It happened early Tuesday evening on the city’s southwest side.
One person was taken to the hospital, while 3 others sought medical treatment on their own.
At least 6 units have been deemed uninhabitable.
The Red Cross is assisting people who’ve been displaced.
Fire Chief Chris Carbon can’t say just yet what may have caused it.
“We’ve got a list of things that we’ll look at, and we typically do the very same thing. One after the next. We’ll look at all the facts, we’ll put them together, we’ll rule things out and narrow it down,” said Carbon.
A neighboring 8-unit building also suffered damage, and at least 21 occupants were displaced from both buildings.
