TOWN OF GLEASON, WI (WSAU) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Gleason on Wednesday.
Officers say 59-year-old Alice Peterson was traveling south on State Highway 17 near County Road CCC when her vehicle drifted into the northbound lane. She collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Alissa Sosnovske.
Both drivers were killed in the incident. No additional passengers were in the vehicles at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol was likely a factor in the incident.
