MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers are adding a power bat to their lineup. Milwaukee acquired Carlos Santana from the Pirates on yesterday in exchange for prospect Jhonny Severino.
Santana is hitting .235 this season to go with 12 home runs and 53 RBI. The 37-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the year.
For Pittsburgh, Severino is a shortstop currently playing the Arizona Complex League. The 18-year-old hit .268 with 25 RBI in 48 games while playing in the Dominican Summer League in 2022.
