MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The director of the federal Centers for Disease Control visited a Madison public health clinic Wednesday.
With kids heading back to school, Dr. Mandy Cohen says children not being vaccinated contributes to vulnerability to disease for them as well as their fellow students.
“So I wanted to come here and remind parents, make sure that our vaccination for your kids are on your back to school checklist, ” said Dr. Cohen.
Cohen points out the state of Wisconsin has a slightly lower rate of vaccination than the rest of the country. She adds that parents who question the vaccination process should seek informational resources through their healthcare provider.
