(Reuters) – A system near the Windward Islands has a 40% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours and a tropical depression is likely to form by early next week, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Sunday.
“The system moves westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph, across the Lesser Antilles and over the eastern and central Caribbean Sea.” the Miami-based forecaster said.
