MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Republican presidential candidates debate tonight in Milwaukee; including former Vice President Mike Pence, who commented at the recent Iowa State Fair.
“Everyone that is standing for the Republican nomination, from my former running mate on down, ought to be on that stage, ought to be making their case. And we’ll let the American people decide,” said Pence.
However, former President Trump won’t participate. While Fox News Channel hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum are moderating the debate, Trump will be doing an interview with former Fox Host Tucker Carlson.
Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson says former President Trump’s absence will allow candidates who are there a chance to have a serious policy discussion.
“And there’s a lot of differences there — differences in approach to Ukraine, differences in approach to China, differences in approach to spending,” said Hutchinson.
The debate at Fiserv Forum is airing exclusively on Fox News and the Fox Business Network as well as on Fox’s website and other streaming and digital platforms.
