WASHINGTON DC (WSAU) – Tonight’s RNC debate, which is being hosted by Fox in Milwaukee, will be shown simultaneously with 2024 GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson at 8 p.m. CST.
The former president stated that “sparks will fly” during the interview. Over the weekend, Trump announced that he would not be participating in any of the RNC debates due to his seemingly large lead, which several polls currently show him leading in the primary by an estimated 40 to 45 points.
Fox stated earlier this week that Trump surrogates would not be allowed into the spin room due to his decision not to participate in the debate. However, the RNC announced that they would still honor the surrogate’s credentialed tickets that were previously obtained.
Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, will serve as surrogates. Kari Lake, Florida Reps. Byron Donalds and Matt Gaetz, along with other Trump backers, will also be present.
The debate will feature candidates such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
