KENOSHA, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Jacob Blake is filing another lawsuit against the City of Kenosha.
The man shot by a Kenosha police officer in 2020 is partially paralyzed, and says he continues to suffer “physical and emotional damages.”
Defendants named in the suit include the city, its former police chief, and numerous officers in connection to the incident, including the officer who shot Blake, Rusten Sheskey.
The lawsuit seeks damages to be determined at trial.
Investigators concluded Blake was carrying a knife when police confronted him.
In 2021, Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley decided not to file criminal charges against Sheskey.
The suit was filed Wednesday, the three-year anniversary of the shooting.
